SELF RESPECT

Image
What will you lose ??? SELF RESPECT … Not a mere sentence... a statement … Yes it means a lot Once again it was felt now when I took the students for this Inspire award.... Yes it reminded me when the scientists were speaking Students you all have worked hard on your projects but only three prizes have to be given... It struck me Did all of them really work on their projects? Are they comfortable with this statement or have they also felt the pinch as I knew the facts felt the pain....

A LOVE AFFAIR

Image
A love affair  A love affair... I do love the clouds, More than the mountains, Yes they move Not so rigid I remember being in the midst of the clouds and I loved it, Was it the conquest I felt? which I made over the clouds, the thrill of being at the top of the world the thrill of being able to see the blue sky the clear blue crystal Pure , the thrill to know that still there are stuffs which are untainted vibrant crystal clear, or was it the triumph of my victory an evidence of my grind, A triumph that the young will not lose trust in trekking, Yes is it slogging or passion Yes the "Mantra of "keep forging ahead" which was once passed on by my papa to spread it in the world or the flag of his faith that "I am moving clouds today, tomorrow I shall try mountains" which I am carrying with me all the time, of course depends on your eye you may see it as insanity my passion to move clouds today or a special binding between me a...

From Dreams to Reality: A Teacher’s Journey to the World Stage

From an Indian to a Worldian: A Teacher's Journey I received the honor of representing my country not once but twice, and each time, I learned and grew immensely. Slowly, my identity expanded from being an Indian to becoming a "Worldian." It feels almost like a fairy tale. After working for 27 years as a teacher, I never imagined that I would have the privilege of serving as an ambassador for my country. Representing India on an international platform is an honor like no other, filling me with immense pride and gratitude. Through these experiences, my perspective on life and cultures broadened significantly. I now see the world through a more inclusive lens, understanding and embracing the diversity of all cultures and tribes with respect and affection. This transformation has been profound—a true shift in my worldview. As an Indian, I once believed that certain cultural biases were ingrained in us, that they were a part of our blood. However, through my global experience...

Me and the sea

Image
I personally have some kind of magical relationship with the sea. I find the vast bundle of energy, my friend, I am drawn towards. I am able to share my woes with, in solitaire, cry with it and  am relieved of any pain I have when it washes my feet with its water, It plays with me like a bosom friend, and is even naughty when it drops me and drenches me completely, I have seen it in all shades washed with the dramatic golden hue of the sun's rays ...early in the morning then shining with the afternoon sun, the glistening water and I remember when it can hold the huge red ball, in the evening and gulps Mr Sun  cools. all over a shining bright silver on the full moon day where lovers may be tempted to vow together to stand by each other forever unconditionally. and then I have also been with it in dark silence when the sound is of only it roaring and me frightened for hours I have sat on its beaches and just gazed and wondered at the mystery I know he is beyond me yet I love ...

mmmmmmmmm Home sweet home.......

Image
While today, returning from work it was pouring and the means of transport …be it bus, train or auto all were drenched...The spit and muck all over had come alive due to these rains (MERA BHARAT MAHAN) .... My colleague and I took a coffee and some chips for the journey of 40 minutes and tried to catch the first train available. In such a weather all the seats inside the compartment were wet due to the water dripping from the windowpane.....Unable to decide whether to sit or stand we managed to get a relatively dry seat and made ourselves comfortable and sipped our coffee....The train had hardly crossed two stations then it started to slow down ......I wondered if I would ever reach home ....At Dadar, a dozen college gals entered chattering excitedly as usual, but somehow today the noise was unbearable ...the reason not clear if it was the weather, the chatter, the dirty surroundings or the combination of it all. .I simply longed to reach home...I opened the door ....Besides the...
